Philip made another visit to Madagascar in March, where he spent a very productive couple of months continuing to develop the Mada Clinics charity and his farm land, located in Northern Madagascar. Mada Clinics has just established its second clinic, plus Philip and his volunteer staff now also assist at other hospitals and schools, as well as teaching English to Malagasy tour guides in one of the nearby national parks. For more info. on Mada Clinics you can visit the recently updated website, plus the Mada Clinics Blog and listing on FaceBook:

During Philip’s time in Madagascar, I stayed on St Barth, where I continued to teach English to my French clients, plus do translations for a variety of interesting businesses and professionals.
I also had the pleasure of welcoming my sister, Alison, and her 18 month daughter, Georgia, to the island, all the way from England. It was their first visit to St Barth, so the three of us had a super time making the most of all that the island has to offer. Alison and Georgia fell in love with the beautiful beaches, the clear blue sea, plus the various fun cafés, restaurants and boutiques, of course! Additionally, much to Alison and Georgia’s delight (versus chagrin), their visit to St B was in fact extended on account of Eyjafjallajökull – the infamous Icelandic volcano. Alison and Georgia were in a far better position relative to the thousands of other travellers across the globe affected by the eruption; Alison positively joked that she could ‘rather get used to being trapped in paradise!’
